Our Story

How it began

It began in a bar in London in October 2019 — Owen, dressed as a lifeguard, plucked up the courage to ask for Laura’s number. They were both pleasantly surprised to discover they each lived outside the city, and the rest, as they say, is history.

By 2021 they had moved in together in Winchester, and wasted little time in taking their binoculars to the wider world. The Scottish Highlands, Malaysia, Thailand, Costa Rica, Singapore, the Azores, Botswana, South Africa — wherever wildlife could be found, they followed.

In July 2025 they bought their first home together, and rounded off a rather good year by adopting a greyhound. Then, in March 2026, Owen got down on one knee on the coast of North Wales — and Laura said yes.

Now they’re getting married on the Jurassic Coast, and they’d love you to be there.

Good to know

A few details

Dress code

Lounge suits and cocktail attire. Ladies — the evening will include a Ceilidh, so you may wish to bring a change of shoes!

Children

We have so many little ones in our lives that we adore, and we hope you'll understand that we've made the difficult decision to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding and hope this gives you a wonderful excuse for a night off!

Gifts

We massively appreciate everyone travelling from far and wide to be with us on our big day and so don't expect any gifts. However, if you'd like to give a little something, we would be incredibly grateful for a small contribution towards our honeymoon.

The Ceilidh

The evening reception will feature a traditional Ceilidh — no experience needed, the caller will guide you through every dance. Comfortable shoes are very much recommended!
